Recently there has been a huge rise in Desktop Screenshots making their way into the Wallpaper Gallery and a a result creating a lot of unnecessary submission violation reports for me to wade through (all work and no play makes Zilla all emo)

Also referred to as "screenshot" "screen dump" "screen capture" "screencaps"

Wikipedia defines a Screenshot as the following:

"A screenshot is an image taken by the computer to record the visible items on the monitor or another visual output device. Usually this is a digital image taken by the host operating system or software running on the computer device, but it can also be a capture made by a camera or a device intercepting the video output of the computer."

Generally on DeviantART this is used to show what theme or icon set the user is currently using. It is also sometimes used to show works in progress. More commonly it is used to show which Wallpaper the user current has applied. This is where the confusion arrises and submission are incorrectly placed in the Wallpaper Gallery.

There has always been a specific Screenshot catagory, but recently when the Wallpaper Gallery was moved into the Customization section along with the Screenshot gallery, people have been mistakenly submitting to the wallpaper gallery.

All desktop screenshots should be submitted to the Customization > Screenshots section NOT the wallpaper gallery.

Any screenshots submitted to the wallpaper gallery will be relocated to the users scraps for further relocation.
