For me, those images represent summer in all its facets, colours and beauty. Enjoy! Please show the artists some love,; watch, comment, fav, you know you want to!
Info on HDR photography and the dynamics of a photo with emphasis on the Black and White aspect. Thanks to all who do such good work in this field. This is just a sample and there are many others out there that are good and even better than what I have shown.
Your Darkest Dreams is a monthly feature devoted to sharing dark photography works from DeviantArt. Often misunderstood as "morbid" or "depressing", Your Darkest Dreams seeks to show this kind of photography in a new way: by showcasing art that is thought provoking, but at the same time unabashedly displays the beauty in darkness.
This is the fourteenth in a series of articles showcasing some of the amazing deviations submitted to the Horror & Macabre Photography gallery. The aim of these articles is to promote the work of talented artists and bring horror photography to a wider audience.
As well as a selection of thumbs from the past week's horror photography submissions, I also feature a different artist in each article. I'd really like to feature some of YOUR favourite artists/photographs, so if you know of a talented horror photographer or have some great macabre photos in your favs gallery, please note me with your suggestions.
Here's this week's deliciously dark selection...
...and this week's featured photographer, *woodsac.
If you wonder where the last two Nightmare Collections are, they're in my journal because the News system was being error-y and I couldn't submit. If you want to catch up on the last couple of weeks of horror photography, follow the links.
I checked the descriptions of all these images to ensure the best I could that they are photographs and not photomanipulations, and do belong to the artists who submitted them. If you discover otherwise, please don't publicly name and shame any artists - it's against policy and it's not very nice.
I can't believe so many artists dedicate their efforts and time to create authentic works of art for us to USE freely! In the world of 3D stocks [ most of it unknown to the photomanipulators ] you can find truly inspiring fantasy and surreal elements that could never be captured by a regular camera. And the best part is that most of them come in a transparent background, so we can simply click and drag onto our work. How fun, fast and easy is that?
A former volunteer with the Artist Relations team, `kuschelirmel has always been a wonderful role model within the community.
With a vibrant and eclectic gallery that would make anyone proud, her dedication to providing informative and easy to follow tutorials, journal CSS, and inspirational stock is clearly long overdue for recognition.
