Well, first I'd like to start this off by saying that last week's first-year anniversary for the Mini-DDs, went very well, & I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to & commented on the whole shebang.
And so after talking about an anniversary, a milestone 50th edition, & various sweet firsts & significant parts of the last few weeks of Mini-DDs, I think this time it'd be nice for everyone (including me) if I actually gave you a break, just cut out the chitter-chatter this time around & go straight for the damn artwork.
So since there's a fine crop of deviations here this time around, what say we move on to the main event?
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:
...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! And how can you resist that? You can't. Because if you do resist yummy chocolate awards, then you're a communist. There, I said it.
Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...
Mudman and Spring....Ah, the season of romance. And *
stressedjenny definitely delivers us a damn fine romantic deviation here. A cute pic, fun & creative characters, a nice style, a perfect color scheme, & an all-around warm & tender mood mixed with fantasy elements makes for one captivating & lovable piece of art. stressedjenny sure as hell should be proud of this one, as it deserves all the glory it can get...
Spartamari Vectored goodness by =
CricketKitty...Addictive video game + Funky & cool style + Innovative character design + Bright colors + Simple yet effective concept + Excellent style + A fun & happy mood + Green aliens & rainbows = One damn fine piece of work overall. Of course, you don't need to do any math to enjoy this beauty. All you have to do is look at how friggin' cute & funny it is (especially with that expression).

InkFactory may have only just joined DA a few months ago, but if amazing pieces like
.Sorpresaaa. are any indication, then hopefully he'll be going far soon. Creepy, cartoonish, creative, trippy, well-drawn, stylish, gloriously weird & just plain fun to look at, I think it would actually be a crime if artwork as cool as this didn't get the attention it deserves. Now who want a piece of cake?
miss Biohazard by *
Allie-M is (at least in my opinion) exactly what the perfect deviantID should be. It may look a bit simple, but it shows off the artist's funky, colorful & cartoonish style by showcasing the creative & fun character that personifies her (& a damn fine character at that), & it basically just looks damn cool overall. What more can you really ask for? Fave this already!
Much like the almighty peanut butter cup,
Slushie? by ~
Spectra22 is a wicked piece of art that mixes together two amazing tastes. Gloriously freaky, surreal, dark yet colorful with a perfect style, & executed incredibly well from the poses & expressions to the perspective, this is one piece of fan art that you truly must fave...Or else. Now go on...Taste the slushie...
10 Ways to Kill a Water Demon by *
Sick-Osiris...Ah, how I really love the trippy stuff. Vivid, fun & psychotic all around, action-packed & chock full of funky designs & details from the water droplets to the simple & epxlosive background, & backed up with a cool concept behind it all, this is one psychedelic beauty definitely worth taking the time to look at.
Mac and Cheese Monster by *
saintpepsi...Oh, come on. It's a cartoonish monster made out of cheese in pasta! Now how the hell am I supposed to resist a concept like that? Oh, & the fact that this is a well done piece of art, colorful, creative, funny, drawn well, etc., etc. definitely doesn't hurt as well. But seriously, if you don't like the idea of a monstrous living pile of Kraft Dinner, then you have no soul.

A beautiful, twisted, & fun piece of fantasy artwork,
heartbreaker hank by *
questionstar is beautiful, creepy, & even a little romantic all at the same time. From the great character design to the amazing coloring job to the amazing amount of detail involved, this is something you just can't miss out on. Plus it's sparkly, dammit! How can you resist that?

On the surface,
Jungle 3 by ~
Mumah may just appear to be a simple collage of frogs. But there's just something so manic, wild about it all that makes this piece amazing...Maybe it's the intense use of colors, maybe it's the wide variety of unique poses, maybe it's the fun style behind it all. Whatever th case, there's just no denying that this is one impressive piece of work.
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^
