Really good (but hard to achieve!) technical choices here, like aperture, speed, framing, bring a very dynamic emotional blast that helps telling a story by this picture.
A simple but efficient snap that shows that photojournalism is all about coming as close as possible to the subject without disturbing it.
Being here at the right time, catching a decisive instant in a camera : this deviant succeeded immortalizing emotion.
Because a picture does not need to show everything when suggesting let your imagination so much better finish the story behind.
Impressive light makes this everyday instant so surreal.

I highly recommend *
hersley's gallery - he has some powerful images, as well as subtle ones, like this one.

~
SAMLIM's gallery also contains many gems like this one, which successfully illustrates how vivid and colourful Indian festivals can be.

~
Trueblood has some very amusing and humorous shots like this one. Of course, being a fan of pigs, I'm slightly biased..

=
suerdas has captured expressions and atmosphere with this effective sports shot

This simple yet striking shot by ~
fluorogoat is a stark reminder of the victims of war

=
radiohat continues to amuse us with his shots of the quirky Viennese - and quirky is an understatement!

Alice came to a fork in the road...
"Which road do I take?"she asked.
"Where do you want to go?"responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know,"Alice answered.
Then said the cat,"it doesn't matter"
