Shutter-Scene held a portrait contest for photographers. After a load of amazing entries and a couple rounds of voting, we finally have our winners!
First place went to

tazmo, or Mohamed, was born in Iraq and lived in Germany for 9 years. Photography is one of his hobbies along with breakdancing. About photography he says "I try to show the people in a creative way my pictures and show them my expression."
About his winning piece he says, "The picture 'welcome to the cabinet' should show you the psycho freak type! It should give you the feeling of being scared of him even though it says welcome!"

ThisIsMeToo grew up being interested in science games and photography. He left photography for about 6 years until one day he found his mother's camera. At 15, he started taking photos seriously and continued to practice and learn. He has founded a Audiovisual Media Production House and is in the process of starting a Photography production house. Music, cinema and the girl of his life, Melina, are his main sources of inspiration. Although photography is an important hobby for him, at the moment he is planning a career in Communication Sciences.



Third place went to

Bamsen!

Bamsen is a 20 year from Norway. He has been doing photography for about 6 year, and has come to seriously focus on it for the past year. He was recently accepted into photography school and is excited about being a full time photography student!
His winning piece is from a spontaneous shoot with a friend of his. He says, "..the pose is not really a "classic" portrait pose, but I like the little playful expression she's got, although theres a bit of shyness about it as well."
