As some of you may have seen in the past, there have been some features of 6x6 photographers. `equivoque had submitted a news article some time ago regarding this: [link] The "bold restraint of these square shooters" is certainly one of the things that draws the eye. There is a certain simplicity about the ordinary square in photography, one that creates a lovely atmosphere.

It is for this reason, that I created Often times, you wont see any squares on the main page. Instead, you're more likely to see the more popular 6x4.5 or 35mm formats. I rarely see a lot of exposure given to the less well known, but just as talented 6x6 photographers, except the occasional journal feature. By making this group, I wanted to bring many square photographers together, for both critique, and the exposure that many of them deserve. So if you like squares as much as we do, swing on by.
