Alright kiddies, the unintentional theme of this week's Mini-DDs has turned out to be "Friendship", with the majority of this week's features being tributes, collaborations, fan art, etc. It does seem a little odd for this bit of a theme to suddenly pop up, but as long as it's still amazing artwork in the end (which it is), who's complaining? After all, the guy who hates friendship is the same guy who eats puppy brains. And do you eat the brains of innocent puppies? I didn't think so.

Anyhow, as for the problem I mentioned last week of wanting to provide the links to previous editions in a more efficient manner...Well, no one complained or said anything about the issue, so I'll take that as a sign that everything's fine the way it is. For now.

So alright, with my latest ramblings out in the open now, what say we actually move on to the main event?

...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! But despite this week's little theme, don't think about sharing it...That sweet, sweet chocolate is all yours, baby. You deserve it.

Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...


I can only think of one word that perfectly sums up my feelings for Nonsense by ~Kazze: "Mind-blowing". Or does "Astonishing" work better here? Maybe "Eye-popping"...Well, perhaps this piece is so colorful, wild, innovative, twisted, fun & just plain amazing overall that one has to invent a completely new word to describe how cool it is: "Fantamasical". After all, one gorgeous burst of creativity deserves a little creative praise as well...



Simple yet eye-popping, Tarot Draconica "The World" by ~Aoth is a beautiful tarot card design with a sweet style, a good amount of detail in it, a nice little character design, & an overall gorgeous & colorful drawing that sets the tone perfectly, creating the perfect, "otherworldly" mood that not only make for a great tarot card, but a great piece of fantasy art in general. Besides, who can resist a cute little dragon that can decide your fate? Huh?



You can always count on ~antz81 to deliver some friggin' astonishing works of art, & PFT X ANTZ is no exception. A funky & brilliant mash-up of Chinese mythology & a cool urban style, this is a Deviation loaded with cool character designs, a simple & attractive color scheme, an intense & fun feel to it all, & even a sweet layout. Now bow before the monkey king, dammit. Something this great deserves all the praise it can get...



It's twisted pieces like DeKaff Avenue -New World Order that make me wonder if *skaffa is a madman or a genius (probably a mix of both). With a funky & unique style, wicked designs, a dark & cool-looking color scheme, a nice concept, & a load of sweet detail (love the skull eyes & textures), this is just one baby that you can't afford to not fave, dammit.



There are some artists who just excel when it comes to mimicking the style of their favorite cartoon, & *Culu-Bluebeaver fits that bill perfectly. Friends picture is an ambitious & colorful project crammed full of some amazingly-drawn HTF fan characters, creating a sweet tribute to the artist's best friends & making for one amazing & lovable cartoon...Riiiight before the rabid porpoises attacked & left everything a bloody mess. As usual.



la pandilla by ~sirsexyboy is another unique tribute towards friendship, full of several innovative & amazing designs which are all well-detailed & definitely eye-catching. Now throw in a funky style which some members have compared to Picasso, a cool color scheme, & a surreal feel to it all, & you have one work art definitely worth checking out.



Backspace by *pecks13 just feels like a scene straight out of a gorgeous sci-fi cartoon. SImple & funky character designs, a nice style, a unique & appealing color scheme, some nice details from the little lighting effects to the texture, & that perfectly cartoonish face & expression that serves as the cherry on top...Oh yeah, this is definitely something you need to at least take a peek at.



grumpy deko by ~DrgnAlexia may seem like a simple drawing, but it's one that definitely caught my eye. It's definitely cute with a nice character design, & it's got a cool color scheme as well, but it's the nice amount of detail from the shine effects to the folds in the vinyl that definitely help make this piece worth faving, creating something that looks like an actual living pool toy. Slightly odd, but that's what makes it fun...



Robots.are.Forever.2.Remix by =archanN...Because who the Hell doesn't love robots? Gorgeously manic & jam-packed full of several fun details, a variety of cool designs, a great amount of vivid & kick-ass colors, a large amount of creativity, & a twisted & action-packed feel to it all, this is just an amazing work of sci-fi art suitable for framing. And really, how can you not resist out-of-control robots?
