2008 Bulwer-Lytton fiction contest results are out

`SparrowSong:iconSparrowSong: reports, August 14
Bulwer-Lytton was best known for his purple prose and for originating several now cliched phrases, including 'it was a dark and stormy night,' 'the pen is mightier than the sword,' and 'the almighty dollar.'

Every year, San Jose State University holds the Bulwer-Lytton fiction contest for the worst opening line to a novel. Results are now out, and worth a read. Enjoy!

New Book for Girls of All Ages

*astrals-stock:iconastrals-stock: reports, May 27, 2007
I'd like to announce the creation of my newest book called "Girl".

Each double page sports a beautiful full page, full colour photo of the beautiful Annalese in fancy dress accompanied by a poem relating to the dress up theme. The photographs are taken from my stock account here at DA

:iconastrals-stock:

while some of the poems are from my writing account
:iconastralslibrary: and others are brand new.

This is a book that empowers, inspires, entertains and comforts girls of all ages, especially those with a definite feminin flair.

"Girl" can be used as a story book, a coffe table book or an educational resource to introduce units on gender.

Please take a look

When someone on DA chooses to hit the "reject article" button instead of favouriting it I think it should show a list of the nicknames who have "rejected" the article.

Like how it shows a list of the nicknames who have "favourited" the article. :) I hope this helps.
