Yesterday The powers at B on (LJ) decided that they didn't like some blogs and deleted them.
500 hundred of them.
With no warning.
There is a lot of speculation as to why.
Didn't like the art..., didn't like the fanfiction...didn't like the topics.
Here is a quote from C/Net
Thousands of LiveJournal customers are rebelling against the company's recent decision to censor hundreds of sex-themed discussion groups, a broad swath that has led to the removal of literary critiques and fan-written fiction about Harry Potter.

Make no mistake, people were pissed, 30,000 people said so in 12 hrs. Many had paid or permanent accounts, and LJ took the money with prior knowledge of what was on the accounts.
So the question arises, if someone complains about the art here or our blogs, would *DA* shut them all down in a mass strike too?
Devious Comments
2 of my friends have submitted pictures with an actual sexual content and uncovered penetrations.
well one had about 6 violations of policy and the other 2,although he did not activate the mature content filter on them.
The first lost his 6 deviations, got an explanation note and a suspension over 7days.
The second guy simply got banned forever and is no longer a member of dA.He got no explantation note from anybody.
Both have violated the policies in almost the same way.
So I think these staff admins have no clue about fairness...
be careful anyways...

One more thing that the admins seem to ban on here, is discussion of the lack of safety for our art on here.
Definitely do have to be swift about the way you bring it up though.
