reports, June 3, 2007*ManipulatedReality serves two purposes: #1 to inform you about everything going on with the chatroom #ManipulatedReality and 2# to inform you about what is going on here on deviantArt within the genres of Photomanipulation and (to a degree) Mixed Media.
#ManipulatedReality is a place to chat about photomanipulations, get helpful critique, share experiences or find a partner to do a collaboration with. Mixed Media & Stock/Resources artists are also most welcome!
We hope to provide a chat room where honest critique will be given to those who want it. Also we hope to make the communication between stockers and manipulators better by giving them the opportunity to talk about what the other party needs or would like to see.
We are thinking about having special events in the future, such as critique nights/thumbhours or featured chats.
The account itself serves as a place to gather information about what is going on in the dA sphere of photomanipulation and mixed media. We try to inform you about contests, projects, news articles etc.
On top of that, the journal holds a section called Photomanipulation FaQ that strives to provide you with the basic info every photomanipulator should get. That starts at what we think photomanipulation here on deviantArt means, touches the subject of using and finding stock as well as tells you something about the gallery director's job.
It is meant to give people who are new to the genre an idea of what it is about as well as help those who want to start doing their own manips on their feet. Lastly, we want to provide the existing community with information on how to challenge themselves or just be inspired.
We would be delighted to see you in the chat room #ManipulatedReality . If you have questions or suggestions, the chat is the first adress to get some answers or just have a good time. You're also most welcome to send any suggestions/comments/critique via note or comment to *ManipulatedReality.
