I've been thinking of a new way to feature artists and I came up with a concept to my liking. At the moment I'm contacting artists who are willing to take part in this try out, and all reactions have been very positive so far !!!
This is a journal idea that's based on the actual artist. He can make his own short ID oneline, write a bio to introduce himself to the world, and make his own selection of works to be featured. I'm quite enthousiastic about the whole idea, and so are the people I asked to join in the project so far.
I hope you like this idea and will have a look into it once I post my next journal. (which I'm also gonna post in an article)

I'm gonna pasta a text here that I quickly made this afternoon, to give you an idea of what my kind of featuring is gonna look like:

MY NEW FEATURING CONCEPT:

I'm a bit sick of people always showing other artist's work,
but always making a selection of shots based on their own likings.
I think the artist should be in the spotlight completely, and that
in his own integrity. Therefore I start a new way of featuring, in
which the artist can write his own introduction and choose his own
works. His or her individual ideas and selection, that's what I want
to feature. So I'm turning my journal into a screen for you. You're
the journalists and I'm the newspaper, no interference.

All you need to do is three simple things:

1/ make a short one-liner

This is for putting next to your name in the header, so make sure it will
fit on one line of text, including your name, don't make it bigger than a
couple of words and make sure it tells something about your personality or
ideas, achievements, do with it what you want. Be original !

2/ Write a Bio, present yourself, your work, just let us know who you really
are. I want you to compose a piece of text, minimum 30, maximum 60 lines,
that will be placed above your features (and journal lines are short) Just tell DA and the whole world who you are, what you want to achieve etc etc. This is your personal article !!! About yourself. Use your own writing style, say what you wanna say, there's no censorship, only your originallity and personal views. You are completely free in this. I won't interfere with the contents, just stay within the size limits, or not too far away from them. If you want to write a larger Bio, please let me know, and we can talk about it.

3/ Make a nicely ordered list of 16 thumbs, your best and most beloved works. That means the art that YOU want people to see ! The artist's opinion is central here. I don't make the choice, nor anybody else, you make the selection within your own works. This is all about the artist getting on stage and showing what he or she wants to show. Show DA what you are proud of and what makes you feel good about creating art !!! Cuz that's what we're all doing. Just show us your best !

And after all that, you put that all nicely in both an email to
wodan_****@*******.com, and a note to me on deviantart, both with title:
