Stunning Master Studies on deviantArt

=Dragonda:iconDragonda: reports, 1d 20h ago
In this article I'd like to feature some amazing Master Studies which caught my eye recently. I consider myself an appreciator of classic traditional art, and I have lots of respect and admiration for anyone who takes up the challenge to create a Master Study.

Most of the Master Studies on deviantArt are incredibly underappreciated, so with this feature I hope to give all of these brave artists a well-deserved place in the spotlights.

Enjoy this article! :)

Trans-Vietnamese Artbook Project

*Cadybrille:iconCadybrille: reports, July 9
Dear friends,
In the animated atmosphere of gradually growing Vietnamese comics in the year 2009, I feel so surprised and hopeful about our comics in the future. The reason is that many young artists appear and show off their talents - That is everyone's long-awaited pride. Along with GreenFarm, Manzin and the forthcoming Truyện Tranh Việt Online, Vietnamese comics is believed to be better and move to a higher phase.

Therefore, in order to warm up the air as well as to creat an interesting and realistic activity for all young artists, basing on the idea of Kaboom Ink on DeviantART, =Clap-san and I really hope to lauch a campaign:
Trans-Vietnam Artbook

I wish and believe that this artbook will be supported by all of you. Let’s show to the international friends the joy and unity of our Vietnamese-comics community! ^_^

Exceptional Surrealist Artist Feature No.2

=the-surreal-arts:iconthe-surreal-arts: reports, June 15, 2007
The Art of David Wills a.k.a. Sytraxia

:iconsytraxia:

David Wills has always been a friend to me and His

continuous support on my explorations, his constant

advices and criticisms had made me the Gromyko I am

today...And What great priviledge it is to repay

him than by featuring his

surreal/fantastic/Visionary art in our Exceptional

surreals/Fantastic/Visionary Artist Feature issue

no. 2...

Welcome to the world of the labyrinth...
The cellular orgasm of linear forms, the masochistic

erruption of filamentous disorder, the seedlings of

vegetative nurosis enveloping the crustacean forest

engulfing the primeval flow of gastric acid

intestinally conjugated within the palatial cortex

instanteneously degenerating into bliss magma of

hallucinations that is pleasing to the mind's eye..

Go beyond the limits of your imagination, and

ponder over these fascinating conglomeration of

alien figures, reminiscent of Roberto Matta, and go

with the flow of distortive mechanism that recalls

the works of Francis Bacon, Z. beksinski and

Heironymus Bosch.

Welcome to the World of David Wills!!

+This Excerpt from one of his writtings best

describes his art+

The Hidden View/The Other Room

“I go through the wall you see” she phrased the

password in the tongue of Belial, shuffling

siblings and suitors in a lottery of sensation. “I

pressed against the wall and it gave way like

leaves… and I was inside” an amorphous caption

excavated its bloated verbiage and exhumed a

pharaoh octaped and fixed; interred in a viscous

froth of incestuous impotence. The door expired and

with the closing of the shadow so came prismatic

starvation. She was alone except for reflective

surfaces and inanimate automation. The severe had

settled, showing only the lasting shape of its

ghost in the fractured archetypal strata. “I enter

a large room…” empty labyrinth codes engorge with

identity; rooms undefined, void save for the

pressures of blood and universe. Within an

enclosure colored by a camouflage of corrupt

vegetation and flushed erogenous flesh there is a

hidden view. The dilated room was amphibian in cool

suffocating humidity, a trapping anti-septic odour

of ammonia and beneath it an undertone of sweetened

soured refuse. "I don't see where I am!" an edge of

a ravine leaped in a phrase. The view registered

mapping clandestine to the upper layers, local

observations also failed at cross sections of the

same topography. A practicing number of

fingerprints smeared a cryptology of a filamentary

design precisely mirroring follicles once

delineating a trail to that blushing mirage. "You

should not observe your placement... feel where we

are..." subdued to pure vibration, magmaic and

respired. Arbitrarily she scanned 10,000 sweeps

licking the surface tongue in swarm. Among slight

waves of oscillating penetrations the oasis would

begin... yet never dissipating absolutely. At once,

the wound closed, devouring a few of her heads.

"Did I know the ground? Our gravity was weak...

your bridge stretched and turned time" sighed the

responding machine. "Aten extends our key... we

spill beyond those layers we cannot entirely

observe."

Thank you! Your work is haunting. It possesses the austerity of our waking hours but viewed through the unfettered portals of our subconscious. Thanks for making such strong and evocative images!
