The Beauty of Traditional Art: Part 2

=devouredex:icondevouredex: reports, Jun 20, 2007
Traditional Art is undeniably the oldest art form on the planet. It is by far one of the most cherished art forms as creating beauty from earths natural resources holds a level of power that cannot be put into words.
So far the earliest discovered Art can be found within a cave and dates back roughly 10,000 -30,000 years. Though these cave paintings are the oldest ever found, its common sense that from a civilisation nearly 200,000 years old, art dates back even further, its just a case of finding it.
Today Traditional Art can be found around every corner, it can be found in major galleries around the world with pieces costing in excess of £40 Million. Traditional Art inspires billions everyday, and hopefully from an age old art form, will continue to do so for many centuries to come.
I hope that the below deviations will drive all those new to Traditional Art. At the bottom of the page you will find several useful links for those wanting to improve and get their work out there more.

Portraits:
One of the most common styles amongst Traditional Artists is Portrait work. Mastering the art of realistic Portrait likeness can take years of hard work and dedication, even more so if the portrait is of someone well known through out the world, because there seems to be more judgement on mistakes. Below you will find a selection of Portrait Deviations of Known and Unknown subjects.

Fantasy:
Fantasy allows people to bend the reality we live in without defying the laws of physics. It allows people to see creatures come to life such as Dragons, which are one of the most popular creature creations within Fantasy art. Through this Art style we can travel to worlds beyond our understanding, worlds which we’d give anything to visit in person.

Animals:
Both domestic and wild animals are cherished through out the world by billions. Most of them looking so cute you want to squeeze them, but some you cannot as it would be disastrous.

Horror and Macabre:
It has always been peoples fascination to scare and disturb others through Art. With scenes of Death, Hellish atmospheres and torture, Horror and Macabre has become a well known and much admired style as it pushes the boundaries of what society accepts.

Surreal:
This style allows people to see the darker side of our own understanding, things that happen in our reality but shown through a different perspective. Our own perception on life is something that cannot be beaten, something that keeps people hoping for something more.

Science Fiction
Its our given right to aim for something higher, look to a future that can better the world, better the human existence. From great technological advances to medical break throughs, the future is what we make it.
