depthCORE XXX – 'Empire'

+ekud:iconekud: reports, June 24, 2007
The depthCORE.com collective invites you to help us celebrate our 5th birthday by unveiling our 30th release – 'EMPIRE'.

The pack itself is one of our most stylistically varied, featuring over one hundred new and original pieces of art and music from a diverse selection of our membership; members new and old contributed to make this a pack full of surprises and artistic intrigue. Our featured artist Theo Aartsma certainly contributed more than his fair share to said intrigue, producing some of the most unusual and amazing pieces in the history of our collective.

It is hard to believe that five years have passed since 'CATACLYSM' was brought in to the world; however whilst the time has flown, the group, the internet and indeed the world has changed immeasurably in that time. Appropriately, the work we are releasing has changed almost beyond recognition as well – it is impossible to compare the quality and diversity of the work in our earlier releases with the art brought to you in 'Empire'.

This diversification is a trend that must and will continue for depthCORE, in its artistic mediums, its presentation platforms and its general approach to being a collective. Exciting times are ahead, and there is much to look forward to. Version 7 of this website will change it more completely than ever before – we've been paying close attention to the reception v6 has had so far, and you can trust us when we say we know what you want, and we've got you covered. Give us a bit of time, and we will deliver you a very exciting and dynamic product to play with.

In the mean time, enjoy our 30th release. Be sure to be thorough when viewing it, as each piece plays a vital part in the visual tapestry of this pack – carelessness will cost you more than in times gone by, as you may miss some truly wonderful work.
