The first big Texas DevMeet in Austin exceeded expectations. Not only did a buttload of people show up but they were all way past awesome. We met up at the illustrious Mozart's Coffee House which is located off of Lake Austin Blvd and has an amazing view of the lake itself. Due to a stalled train `StJoan and the people she was with were late for the meet itself but the ever trustworthy =caveatLECTOR took the reins and made sure our guests knew what the heck was going on. Her and =PinkyMcCoversong not only set up a poster but got the nametags, a sign in sheet and even a lit and visual collab set up for =VisualLit.



We hung out on the large deck beside and raised the artistic atmosphere. A beautiful black swan also decided to pay us a visit and was then dubbed the DevMeet mascot. After the Texas sky decided to pour gallons of water on us we all stood around outside trying to decide where to go eat (rather than standing around inside the coffee shop out of the rain ). We decided on Rudy's Barbeque and formed a six car caravan (which was a nightmare). The last remaining deviants rode over to `StJoan's cousin's house (who happens to be LOADED) and hung out, had sammiches and just goofed around.



Thank you to all who showed up and supported our awesome community and I hope those who didn't show up are tempted to show up at the next. Also, thank you to our organizers. You guys are the most awesome. And last of all thanks to Mozarts and Rudy's and Ali's cousin for being so welcoming. Oh and thanks to MapQuest for having horrible directions.
