The satisfaction of giving help to people is something that very little can match. But it's not always easy to reach out to the wider community and help in the way that you want to. However, this project aims to help you go at least some way towards doing this very thing. The projects offers you the chance to give money away to either
Amnesty International or
Oxfam. However, you won't just be giving any amount: you can only donate subscription amounts. Before I explain exactly what I mean, here's some information about the two charities:
Amnesty International is the largest organisation in the world that campaigns for the defence of human rights. With over 1.5 million members and supporters, it publicizes cases of human rights abuse, promotes awareness of the rights that we are fundamentally entitled to, lobbies governments to introduce democratic governments that uphold and adhere to the 'United Nations Declaration of Human Rights' and writes letters on behalf of individual prisoners. The letters its members have written have saved the lives and set free thousands of people, proving that the power of the pen often outweighs the power of the gun.
The World Wildlife Federation or WWF is a charity that seeks to conserve and protect endangered species and to stop the removal of our natural environment. It aims to be able to allow nature and humans to live in harmony with one another, to maximise the amount of sustainable resources we use and to limit the amount of harmful pollution. The WWF carries out continual research and conservation programmes all around the world and in all types of conditions: from forests to coral reefs.
Oxfam is a charity comprised of 13 different organisations, all of which aim to help poor people out of poverty. Oxfam campaigns for there to be better equality amongst the different nations while also helping to provide those in third world countries with the tools and information they need to help them grow and work themselves out of poverty. They also lobby governments of both rich and poor countries and give emergency relief to those who have been involved in disasters.

The Project

Pick a charity to donate to.

Choose to donate a single amount.

Donate either a 1 month, 3 months, 6 months (that's two 3 month subscriptions) or year's subscription to the charity:
One month subscription = £2.47 / $4.95 / 3.68
Three month subscription = £3.97 / $7.95 / 5.91
Six month subscription = £7.94 / $15.90 / 11.82
One year subscription = £14.95 / $29.95 / 22.27

Comment in this article with the charity you donated to and the amount you gave (e.g: One month to Amnesty).

At the end of a month: i.e. on the 28th of July, a total amount of the money raised so far will be calculated and we can see how many years of subs we have given away!
