Religion is one of the most binding social orders that are seen in this world. As groups of people with same thoughts, beliefs, faiths, and hopes come together, individuals begin to feel a sense of safety and belonging in their respective groups and in turn do everything they can to give back to this amazing feeling.

One of the most long lasting and powerful form of gifts come in the form of art. Religious arts are one of the oldest and the most common artworks, from simple books to places of worship that pierce through the sky. With religious art, also comes portraits of prayer and thanksgivings, and also customs and practices of the followers.

Wherever there is beauty, there are photographers to capture it. For this week’s feature, I will be featuring photographs that depict the five most common religions in the world today: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism.
