Introduction
Welcome to the weekly Help Desk news. In these weekly updates we will attempt to bring you the most up to date information, as well as provide some helpful hints for super duper deviantART fun.
Hexe's Corner
The latest Hey Hexe! has been posted yesterday, if you have not already seen it you can do so by clicking
here.
In other news this week, the number of people you are able to block from your userpage has been increased, allowing you to now block up to 100 users.
Ewm's Corner
This week I would like to discuss making sure you provide all the information necessary for your ticket. By leaving out important information, it can slow down the process of helping solve your inquiry.
Often times we receive inquiries asking if we can help in a given situation and then not even provide the actual situation or links necessary to complete the task required to solve the situation. This can occur in various situations such as asking if we can close a forum thread but not linking it to us. While it is great that you ask if we can do it, it is better to ask and provide all the information necessary to help instead of us having to say "yes we can help, what do you need help with?". By doing this not only will you find out whether we can help or not but if we can help we do so immediately.
Another way of leaving out pertinent information to help your inquiry is by stating "it would be just easier if you look at such and such link k thx bye". Yes we have actually received tickets like this where a user instead of stating what they need help with they link to a journal, deviation, or forum post. In such cases depending on the contents of such link, we will not know exactly what you wish to be done. It is best to be as clear and precise as possible so explaining the situation in the ticket is a must.
Please remember that by including all important information such as your question and necessary links we can provide you with the speediest service possible.

Hi guys! This week I'd like to remind everyone how important it is for you to contact us at the
Help Desk and not through notes to our personal accounts. A Help Desk ticket is an official log of your inquiry, containing all the important information and details we need to resolve your ticket quickly and efficiently. Notes, on the other hand, don't offer the inquiry filing services the Help Desk does. Notes can also be lost in the jumble of messages that come through our accounts everyday. Aside from needing an official record of your inquiry, filing a ticket through the
Help Desk is the more appropriate thing to do, as it's easier for us to track tickets than it is to track notes.
We here at the
Help Desk do encourage you guys to send Hexe daily notes about how good she'd look in a frog suit though.

Sadly, I don't know if blocking more than 100 users is possible if a account is a target of a raid that involves more than 100 accounts in a very short period of time. But other than that, it should make them feel safer now.
