I have heard so many people say that wedding photography is boring because it’s a bunch of the same thing over and over again. I’m here to prove them wrong.

Before I shoot a wedding, I scour the galleries looking for inspiration. I follow links to people’s websites and photo blogs. I follow links to their inspiration, and to other photographers online. I study the photos, I study the energy, and most of all, I study the people. I’m not looking to steal ideas or to stomp out competition. I seriously enjoy browsing wedding photos. I love to find the unique, the beautiful, and the fun elements in the photos and in people in general. It’s like a portal into life itself; like a birth, a wedding is the beginning of two people’s new life together, united as one.

Although the subject is the same… girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy asks girl to marry him… they get engaged, they plan a wedding, they get married, they exchange rings, they eat cake, they dance, they do some traditional stuff, or non traditional stuff…. There is a lot to be interpreted on a personal level and on an artistic level.
