10 ways to Express Art – Part V

=Derzorvadur:iconDerzorvadur: reports, 1d 11h ago
The project started as a mean to collect amazing artists all around deviant in a random way or as well for already personal recognition of the same, this is ONLY for the sake of art, no favoritism or popularity has anything to do with this, only REAL good art will enter in these articles, and the art exposed in here is what we personally consider the best of the best.

The Best of September Visual Art!

`karemelancholia:iconkaremelancholia: reports, October 7
Now it's time for September 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!

Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it!
Fave Fave Fave!
My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations.
Artists need to be supported.
So don't be shy!

Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not.
Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough ;-)

And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month, send me via note the links/thumbs!

:pointr: You can see the previous features here, in the Index i've created!

Recent Dedications (you'll be blown away...!)

♥Summer Of Love♥

*CindeeRoo:iconCindeeRoo: reports, July 15, 2007
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the "Monterey Pop and the Summer Of Love".

1967 was an incredible year for Rock ‘n’ Roll. It was the "Summer Of Love". Flower Power and the San Francisco Sound were in full bloom. The idea of making the world a better place was celebrated by many who were eager to have once and for all, "Love, Peace & Happiness." It wasn't just the hippies of the time that shared this idea. Remember the beloved american clergyman and civil-rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King who "had a dream." His 'dream' and the dreams of those flower power lovers of the time still hold true today.

I was only a wee girl of two years at the time of the 1967 Monterey Pop and the "Summer Of Love" music festival. Although I was unable to attend, I still celebrate the music, and art, of that era. It's a part of who I am. Also, I support the idea and those 'dreams' behind it all. I remember those days as very colorful. Friendly people full of love and always happy. My parents were hippies so it wasn't so far from me. :giggle:

Between the great music and the artwork that constantly surrounded me, I fully believe they aided me in my own creativity. My weird and off the wall mind. With such color and patterns how could it not. All that stimulation had to have a positive effect on my neurological pathways. Studies on the infant brain development show most of a person's neurons are formed from ages 0-6. Well, then that confirms it. ;)

That's the beauty of art and music. So stimulating, healing and uplifting...inspiring! I've been stumbling onto a lot of art/photos that remind me of when I was a little girl in the 60's and although the 40th anniversary celebration for the "Summer Of Love" has come and gone, I have decided to make this article as my own tribute. So without further ado, here are some groovy deviations I chose to help stimulate your neurons while also celebrating love and music...through color-filled art.
