Hello!

High Pressure, something experienced often by some people, has certainly reached this competition… pressure, that is, for the entrants: Which of them has won? They’ve been a long time in waiting to find out the results… but finally, they’re here!

I’ve also experienced a lot of pressure, from the contest entrants, about where the results have been?! As an answer to this I can only apologise for the HUGE delay between competition and results, but several judges have been unable to complete their tasks for two reasons… their personal lives, and – I guess – the judging system (something which I will improve if I am to host another contest.) As a further apology for the delay, I’ve managed to secure some more prizes for the contest winners… They’re included in the prizes list below, with the emote next to them.:

As you can see, there’s a lot of prizes up for grabs, but… who won?!

In First place is…

Roses, spring, and bad coffee by *Iscariot-Priest! A huge congratulations for a high-scoring piece with all of our judges, for very obvious reasons.

The piece has so many obvious merits that I won’t comment too much on it, for risk of putting you off of it – they are, more often than not, simple things done right. Situations handled well, awkwardness well-communicated … etc. But it’s all of these simple things that make the piece. It’s a job done well by *Iscariot-Priest, so I really recommend you read it! (The piece was shortened to fit into the contest guidelines… I look forward to the full version! )

Second Place goes to…

By the Hair on Their Tails by *jonnyneroactionhero! This is a thrilling read, which definitely deserves to be in the top three.

And in Third Place is…
