Romanticism is an artistic, literary, and intellectual movement during the 18th century. This particular movement developed in Western Europe, mainly as a response to the Enlightenment Age which put more focus on usage of rationalism in literature and art.
Unlike the more science based art works, Romanticism put more emphasis on the supernatural and the emotional; in other words, more on the aspects of this world that cannot be explained in a book. Romanticism in visual arts can be distinguished by the emphasis on women, children, power of nature, and the supernatural
Even though Romanticism was an artistic movement of the past, its values are still visible in modern artworks. This feature is a tribute to Romantic photography pieces that are seen these days in our community

These are nice images, but I'm not sure what is Romantic about them. Romanticism as a genre elevates nature to mythological/mystic proportions; it's not about "romance" and love per se. How is a heart on a book or a shamrock in a hand Romantic along the lines of Byron or Wagner?
visual and literary romanticism is actually kind of different from each other in the field of focus. like you said, a shamrock and a heart has really nothing to do with what byorn would write about or wagner would compose about; in truth, both of these focus more upon emotion than actual glorification of nature. But i put them up because to them both of them looked quite supernatural to me. the idea that you can create a heart out of a book with a ring thing isn't entirely new or even that sophisticated, but at the same time people seeing it for the first time do naturally say to themselves that that is pretty amazing.
