SPACE ART CONTEST


Hello, some of you may know me already but for those that dont ill introduce myself.
My name is Alexei Kozachenko and my passion on dA is space art.
Now as many have noticed space art is on the decline. All of us know the problem of copy paste images that look exactly like on a tutorial and show no personal ideas. No don't get me wrong, i know how its like to be a newcomer to space art and im not saying i didn't follow tutorials back when i started. But i did my best to bring something new and to try new things, sadly many images i see on sci fi today just show no personal ideas/motivation whatsoever. I hope to somehow change that. Lets start with making a contest.

Your Job will be to make a Space image. The theme is: New.
thats it, it can be anything as long as its fresh and original. A planet made of cheese? 2 planets merging like cells? something else totally unspeakable?

The newer the better. Ill be judging on the criteria:

1.Originality
2.Picture quality

The winners (3) will receive the .psd of Terminal Velocity

to be able to see how i make my pictures in photoshop. In the .psd you'll see what tricks i use and how i make some of my nebulae. Hopefully it will teach you some new things.

The deadline is 1.September

I hope to somehow increase the awareness that space art can original and not cliche, now go do some art
