Probably the most famous road race (cycling) is just on it's way - the Tour de France is in its second week and the media has again been full of it - sometimes with the day's victories, but also with the downfalls of the sport - doping.
Now as some of you who know me, probably also know I am quite into cycling myself - I just finished a 24h Team-Race and now I am training for a 24h Solo-Race in september - I decided to take a look at dA and see what photos can be found in regard to cycling. And yeah, I found some very good works and pieces which I would like to share with you.
and just one last thing (for those who think that cycling=doping): forget the pros, but don't forget the sports
It sure is an amazing display of athletic performance. The distances they ride each day is simply amazing.
But watching the TV coverage really makes me want to photograph the Alps. Coming from a relatively flat country (Australia) the Alps look simply astonishing. It'll have to go on my wishlist for now though.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
