I agree completely. Too often I browse the art galleries here... and now I'm seeing more and more adult blocks on them. Not for violence, but for nudity.
Nude photos are for artistic purposes here on dA, and some people (a LOT of people) are abusing that. Like the example you put up. It's just repulsive, the picture itself and the way anyone could consider it art.
While I hate to say that, and rag on other people's personal 'art,' I really have to. There is no art in that picture, just a naked woman dressed up like a badass. It's raunchy.
The other two, however. Notice how the focus isn't really on them, but on their emotions. That's what I want to see in a nude portrait, not some girl's huge breasts or... something else (I'm not mature enough to even type it).
Nude portraits have always been about emotion and self-realization, not sexual fantasies. But that's what they're turning into, which really is a sad thing, because I've always liked TASTEFUL nude photos, the ones with meaning in them.

I believe the increasing photos and artwork of nudity and drawings of yaoi and sexual themes have become somewhat of a problem. Not only is dA recieving a bad image, but I'm not fond of seeing half naked females with over-sized breats appearing on the most popular deviations.

What do you consider over-sized and what does the size of a woman's breasts have to do with artistic merit in first place. Are you saying big boobs are pornographic?

Apparently, that is considered art. O_o In the real world, this would be deemed the production of a hormonal crazed male with no sex life.

Everyone has their own definition of art and pornography and just because an image like that would naturally arouse most men as well as some women does not mean it can't be considered to be artistic. And believe it or not, there are men that can look at nude women without turning into dick-driven robots. And there are men with a sex life that also like such imagery.

Art is a form of expression. Art is a way of conveying one's feelings. Art is many things...but when art becomes mere photos taken of women exposing themselves... then I don't know what to think anymore.

Now I'm laughing. You are obviously biased. I think nudity is one of the strongest and most natural forms of self-expression, if not THE strongest and most natural.

Now I consider this art, even though it is nude.

I mean if you have a problem with women exposing themselves like that then that's your thing, but this news article does not help your argument because your bias is just too obvious.

I like your response much, because you're pointing out the things that disturbed me in such an article. Nudity may be art, because it is nudity, not even though it's nude.
I just don't believe that nude could be a bad way of expressing oneself, even though I think there's some limits to find, some frontier to draw between pornographic and nude.

Fenris-of-bloodmoon, I think you melt these two things. A bit maybe, but for me, you do melt it. Some shot can show the totality of

of a body and be artistic as well as the shot you proposed us to see.
