Games and Darkness

What seemed like an innocent hand of cards became the game that controlled my life. When I rolled that dice fate was now ready to fall. I had to move forward three spaces, take a chance... or go to jail?

This is an open for all multi-genre competition that allows you to interpret these themes in your own way.
When the words ‘Games’ and ‘Darkness’ come together, what springs in your mind? How can you interpret two words and connect them? Can you create an image that shows your thoughts?

Rules

As always rules are a must!

1. No fan fiction or fan art.
2. Prose pieces must be no longer than 4,000 words. This includes any scripts.
3. The deviation has to be new and of your own work.
4. The deviation description must state that it's an entry for this contest.
5. There must be a noticeable connection to the theme.
6. No more than 3 submissions per deviant.
7. Poetry needs to be longer than 3 lines (no one liners please).
8. If you use someone else’s stock, please make it clear in the description that you have.
9. ALL submissions must follow the deviant art policies. Please read the FAQ if you are unsure.
10. NO entries will be accepted after the deadline. Please see below for date and times.

Besides those above, this is all open for your own interpretation!

This Competition is open to all forms of artwork. These have then been broken down into eight categories for judgement purposes. If your piece of work does not seem to fit into any of the categories listed, please let a judge know. ALL pieces will be welcomed:

Digital and Mixed media

How to Enter

Please send *Beccalicious a NOTE with your entry by Midnight 5th September 2007. Winners will be announced on Monday 10th September 2007. PLEASE NOTE: All times are set for GMT.
