Help find and catalog native ladybug (ladybird beetles) species in the US through the use of photography and Cornell University's Lost Ladybug Project. This effort may aid in preserving certain ladybugs from extinction.
I am looking for works of any quality to put unlockables in my little videogame project. Prizes for the best, but evryone who participates will get his/her drawing put as unlockable in the game! A little contest in which everyone wins!
October is upon us and that means a lot of things to a lot of people, but for many of us it means candy, spooky stories and dressing up. So with that theme in mind I'm hosting a for-fun art jam that combines all the fun Halloween stuff together.

I'm sorry but humans are predators, we eat meat. I like to eat meat, dairy products, eggs.....care to tell those in countries that don't have fertile farming ground for crops & are basically starving that they shouldn't eat animals?
I love my pets too. PETA is even against people having pets.
I do believe in humane treatment of animals but not by the extreme tactics of PETA. I'd rather support the ASPCA and other similar associations.
PETA consists of a bunch of hypocrites; however, your implications on meat consumption are not true.
The human body isn't designed to digest meat... look at our digestive tracks—very long compared to carnivores who have short digestive tracks. The reason for this is because meat spoils and rots rapidly in the body, so the indigestible parts need to be expelled quickly.
Additionally, carnivores have much larger amounts of hydrochloric acid in their digestive system which aid in the digestion of meat. Humans have much less.
Also, animal protein causes our bodies to go acidic. In response, the body will leech calcium from its bones to make itself more alkaline (its natural state). That's why milk, for instance, actually causes osteoporosis instead of prevents. Also, you'll never see animals in the wild drinking milk from other species... only from their own and only as infants; they stop once they're old enough... Humans, though, think it's perfectly normal to drink milk from another animal that's not designed for human bodies.
I can go on, but I highly doubt you'll take this seriously, assuming you've actually read this.
PETA are hypocrites... you can support animal rights without having to support an organization that have been caught slaughtering animals, that support violence, and are just flat out (yes, I'm repeating myself for emphasis) hypocrites.
My "implications on meat consumption"? LOL we ARE predators, we've been hunting animals for food for how long in human history??
But I don't plan on a debate about this, I posted my opinion that I like to eat meat & you'll only pry my cheese, ice cream, & glass of milk from my dead cold hands.
So no, I don't take what you said seriously, I refused my mother's milk as a baby & grew up quite healthy on cow's milk thank you.
(ACK! Would help if I posted in the right place -_-)

Many vegetables have the same protein that human body needs... Science has copied human skin which can be tested on rather than animals... and if we have to eat meat ... and if the animals must die... should not it be in a better way ? Does pupe or shit has to go in the meat that we eat in fast food ?
I posted on the forum asking people to show me their green deviations and I got a lot of very good green deviations. Please show your support for these artists by faving their art and faving this article.
