The EJC has come to be a world wide established event which introduces
people to the magical world of juggling. Created by hard working jugglers for jugglers, it is run by a core team of people, different every year and in each country. It functions on a volunteer basis. It is helped by the European Juggling Association (EJA), a non-profit association for European jugglers whose main goal is to promote juggling in Europe, especially by ensuring that, each year, a European Juggling Convention (EJC) takes place in a different European city or town


A meeting of artists where cooperation and creativity are in order and freedom is given to anyone to express themselves is a large part of the convention. New shows and acts are presented from established professionals of the field as well as tallented hobbyists. Sharing is a big part of the convention as well, in terms of knowledge and expertise concerning all arts and crafts and their excecution through workshops or just plain conversations between the attendees.

However, the EJC can be simply described as meeting people, sharing ideas and having fun.
