A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
Let me introduce you to the 'Portrait for a Buck' project.
Whether one shoots film or digital, edits b&w or color, the story is always the same--it's about hunger and spare change.
The Pics.
A Few Quick Tips. If your model is not a poser, chitchat until the 'thing' happens then snap your shutter! Composition-wise, while the rule of the thirds is a general rule of thumb, spontaneity is the key. However, still avoid putting the subject matter in the dead center! Focus on the eyes and use shallow DOF to defocus the background unless it tells a story. Try and crouch down a bit to avoid deep angles and distortion--similarly to kid photography--one knee down is good. Natural light is your only ally so in-camera exposure has to be accurate. Keep your edit simple and direct, not to drown the message and for the pic to remain genuine. Mood and impact will be at the 'rendez-vous' as the looks are always true! Last...beer is nice but a sandwich may be more helpful and...oh yes...puppies are 'deja-vu'.
Anybody can be involved! Just walk around with your cam--avoiding point-and-shoots and cellphones--a few bucks and a smile. Submit to DA and I'll try to catch up and feature!

DeviantART is counting down to its 100 millionth deviation! Join in on the fun and take a look back at some of the most noteworthy deviations we've seen along the way. The deviant who uploads the 100 millionth deviation could win a special prize, too. Hurry, we're going to hit the 100 million mark soon!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
