After somewhat of a hiatus due to lack of suggestions we're back in force with this dedicated project. Dedicated to what? now what, who: the Artistic Nude community!
In Camera Lucida, Roland Barthes describes pictures to be not what is but what was... put in another way what has ceased to be. Static images then take on the task of representing that which is ever changing. Barthes based his reflections on his personal feelings about and observations of photographs, and one photograph, in particular, of his mother as a child. Based on requests from some dA friends, I offer this collection of images that seem to be frozen in time. The sense of loss and quiet in these images is profound.
Frozen in Time
this voice reaches out beyond the quiet
past the stillness too
its song now silent
but echoed
by the unsteady light of the stars
the song spans the loneliness
of heaven
where souls gather among the stars
awaiting a song for their return

Pictures freezes the time so the next generation can see what it was like before them, so go out, capture the moment and create history!
