What a Vexel Is: The Official dA Definition

reports, July 7Influenced by recent dispute, it has been decided that it is time to make a solidified definition of what a vexel is by deviantART's terms. Please understand that this definition, and the rules along with it, are not made up from a few of the gallery moderator's thoughts, but built from the foundation of what the creator's words on 'vexel' were, and what the majority of the vexel community of deviantART has come to accept as a vexel. These rules are solid, final, and most-likely will not be faltered.

Attention Fan Art and Traditional Printing Artists

reports, August 1, 2007If you are a fan art artist or someone who deals in traditional print, then you have a serious hate on for the new submission menu and I don't blame you.
Fan art was not only buried throughout the categories but even when you submitted it there, wouldn't show up as fan art! I mean really!
and Traditional printers, your category couldn't even be found because it was buried under the completely unrelated Text & Typography!
Well I have great news!!
Fan Art and Traditonal Printing have been moved to the first tier of the submission process, right up front, no searching!
so get those fantastic art pieces submitted now that you know where the heck they are supposed to be going
