reports, August 3, 2007A italien group specialized in conservation and restauration of art works submited to the internet a 9.9 GigaPixels photo of an italian fresco of 1685-1694.
This art work was made by Andrea Pozzo and it's called "La Gloria di Sant'Ignazio" (translation: "Saint Ignazio's glory") and it's located in a Church of the same name in Rome, Italy.
This group says it it the biggest high resolution photo in the world.
The final result is astonishing. The possibility of zooming in to the smallest detail offers the visitor the chance to know the art work with a detail that otherwise would never be posible.
