Protest through excellency

~randompixels:iconrandompixels: reports, August 18
I've met many so-called artists who, through their poor art, become more popular than the real artists and make them lose their confidence. Therefore, I decided to protest by excellence using the methods, to do something for the great artists who have something to say but who are underrated because of the huge amount of poor "art". fotoFRIDAY: More than Meets the Eye

*fotoFRIDAY:iconfotoFRIDAY: reports, August 3, 2007
This past week *fotoFRIDAY participants were challenged to look beyond the photograph and discover the story hidden in its implications. It wasn't an easy task, but it began with such excellent inspiration:

About the Band

by *IgorLaptev

Several writers jumped at the challenge, and these deviations were especially note-worthy:

:bulletred: Band of Brothers by =RetroZombie
:bulletred: Isn't it wonderful? by ~illyria-godking
:bulletred: Hong Kong Glue by *saturnangel

This week's other entries:

Poetry

:bulletblue: Trump -A Snip It by =selladohr
:bulletblue: Let the Music Fall by ~NoahKai
:bulletblue: Conform by ~littlemissmoody
:bulletblue: Little Things by ~musicgrl12589

Prose

:bulletblue: FotoFriday: About the Band by ~WineWriter
:bulletblue: Untitled1 by =apocathary
:bulletblue: Watching Warren by ~dead-poetess-society

But wait! That's not all!

*fotoFRIDAY XLVII: Warm and Cuddly (or not)
:iconfotofriday:

In the past we've had two pictures for one prompt, and it seemed to work well, so we wanted to try it again this week! Find your inspiration using one or both of the two excellent photographs below:

The first picture:

Told Ya Teddy

by *wb-skinner

The second picture:

Its Over Teddy

by *Barfly-Dance

:reading: The concept is simple: write a poem, story, or short sketch inspired by the given picture. You can use the picture as a major component of your writing or just a small sliver--there is no definite rule in that regard. Want to write about sunsets? Sunrises? Drunken escapades on the beach? Love? Cell phones? Religion? Choices? The influence of Kantian ethics on Nietzsche's reading of Kierkegaard's interpretation of Cain and Abel? Go for it! The only limit is your own imagination. Consider this a weekly prompt to get those creative juices flowing.

After that, it's up to you to upload your writing as either a scrap or deviation in your gallery and paste the link in a comment to the *fotoFRIDAY prompt journal.

See how easy that is? Then why are you still reading this? Get writing!

:star: Entries for this week's prompt are due 12:00AM (EST) on Wednesday, August 8, 2007.

Sweet! :D Thanks for the feature! Soon as I get back from a show tonight, I will most likely be found at my computer, reading the other poetry/prose pieces that were featured, too.
