Call For Artists To Participate

=gorjuss:icongorjuss: reports, August 3, 2007
Craft For China, for Love Without Boundaries, is a nonprofit organization that helps Chinas orphans. There
are over 15 million orphans in China. Most are healthy young girls, abandoned due to China's one child
per family law. Although there are some missionary ran orphanages in China which are very good,
most orphans end up in an institution with the mentally insane or in a state ran orphanage. Evidence shows
that doctors systematically mis-diagnose mental illness in order to move children into mental institutions
where they are literally neglected to death.* Love Without Boundaries raises money to get the children medical
care, foster care, nutrition, and education. Everything they do gives the children a better chance at being adopted
and having a family.

We are looking for donations of artwork and or crafts to be auctioned on eBay, a massive 100% of the money
raised will go straight to Love Without Boundaries to help with their child sponsorship program, there will be
updates and photos to keep you up to date with what they are doing regularly on their blogs ( links below !)..
so you will actually SEE what a diffrence YOUR artwork will make!

If you decide to get involved then you will create a handmade item that is a one of a kind at the time of auction.
For example: if you donate a painting, please dont sell prints of the painting until after the auction. Another
example: if you donate a handmade plushie, please dont create others like it and sell them until the auction is
over. We want to raise as much money as possible. We want people to bid on the items rather than getting them
for less at your store. Your name and website url will be included in the item description when the item is on eBay,
unless you request it not to be shown. This will give you exposure as well. You can donate as many items as you
want. We are also accepting books and vintage goods that are in good condition.

The item(s) have to be shipped by September 1, 2007, and you commit to blogging about the auction and/or
spreading the word of the fundraiser elsewhere.

If you want to participate please email Melissa : craftforchina@gmail.com with the following information:

It's best not to forget the past, but remember it and make sure you don't screw it up again. This is why I feel hurt every now and then, but it's a lesson why shouldn't it hurt.
