Background
This is a sub-contest based off of ^shell4art's and =karemelancholia's dA Loving Day competition.

The purpose of this competition is not to support any war - rather it is to show support to the men and women that joined the military. Also, thisis not isolated to showing support for the soldiers of the United States military either - direct your entries to the soldiers that joined to protect the rights of your country. I can't speak for other countries, butthemen and women in the U.S. Armed Forces truely believe that most people hate them because they happen to be in the current war. I want to be able to show my fellow brothers and sisters that people do care about the soldiers, andthat they do remember that it is the government that starts wars, not soldiers. I don't know the general consensus for how the people of other countries feel about their soldiers, but show them that you, as an individual or a group, do care.

The Contest
For this contest, any medium is accepted; it can be poetry, stories, drawings, paintings, photos/pictures, digital artwork, etc. Photomanipulations are only allowed if you can prove that you got the stock-art provider's permission to use their work, and that you givea link to them in your "Artist's Comments".
For the sake of this contest, no nudity will be allowed.

Submissions
Please submit your deviations to the Community Projects > Events > Community Projects > dA Loving Day > Love For Soldiers category.

Only one entry per person! If you wish to submit multiple deviations to show your support, please note me before the deadline with which one you want to count as your submission to the contest.

Deadline extended!
The deadline for submissions is GMT Midnight on August 20, 2007.

Judging
After the deadline a poll will be created with all the submissions for a popular voteto be taken. I will also show all submissions to as many soldiers as I can to get their vote as to which they believe supports soldiers as well. The poll will run for 48 hours. After which time I will compile the results from the polls with the votes of the soldiers and announce the winner both in this journal and in a New Article. I will also try and get ^shell4art to display the first place winner in their's as well.

There must be at least ten submissions for judging to take place and prizes distributed. Remember, only one entry per person.
