Okay, so welcome to the latest edition of Mini-DDs...A delectable little assortment of DD-worthy artwork personally hand-plucked & put on display for your amusement. Now, we've got a lot of funky stuff for your viewing pleasure this week, so let's get to it as fast as possible...

Hmmm? You're wondering why there's no mention of a special edition, mainly since last week I announced that I was going to do something special for DA's birthday?

Well, first off, I doubt you're actually wondering that. Second, I do indeed have something special planned for DA's big day...But it didn't seem right to pull that off during a normal, weekly edition. Besides, the birthday is on Wednesday, so doing it now feels a little too soon...& next week would obviously be too late.

So consider this a little announcement: A special "DA's Birthday" edition of Mini-DDs will be launched on Wednesday. So if you're a regular viewer here, consider that a little heads up. I don't know if it'll truly be amazing, but I hope to have some fun with it. Besides, maybe there'll be cake! See you then!

I also had a nice little anecdote prepared involving past features & Amy Winehouse, but since talking about that kind of stuff usually gets you a "Devious Rejection", what say we just move on? Bring on the Mini-DDs!

*nosleepjinx says in the description for -Bathtime- that "Theres nothing better then drawing your characters suffocating and being thrown around in agony." Can't argue with that, especially the results of said drawing are so damn fantastic! Chaotic, twisted, cartoonish, colorful, funny, innovative, & drawn with such an amazing style, you would have to be friggin' foolish to pass this gem up. So fave it, or face the squid...



Il Maggiosauro by *Aguaplano is truly just a beauty...There's a simple concept & theme behind it all, yet the end result is just so unique & amazing. Great style & technique, nice colors, a weird yet delightful mood to it all, & it does indeed perfectly look & feel like something out of a kid's storybook. Frankly, if you can't find anything to enjoy about this sweet piece of work, then you have no soul...



Okay, so when it comes to creating mind-blowing & innovative character designs, ~Grim-Amentia is easily the queen. She has created a whole universe full of several creative & fun characters, & Cops and Robbers _colored is a sample of the awesomeness she's made so far...But one damn fine sample, with an amazing style, a nice color scheme, some great expressions, & even a cool layout. Plus, look at these guys & tell me you don't want them in your faves. I dare you.



Well, any well-done picture of a Chinese dragon would probably please me a lot, but with Chinese Draggy by *THAZumi...DAMN. Now that is one sweet Chinese dragon pic! That pose, that style, that expression, that background, that detail (love the scales), that coloring...It's just all so amazing. Thaz is a big dragon fan, but here he's actually outdone himself a bit...So kudos, Thaz, you rocked! Bravo!



Reaching for the moon by ~lainchan...Ahh, I just love a good piece of art that feels like an anime version of some magical fairy tale. A sweet, original concept, some nice & cute character designs, a cool style, some amazing details & colors right down to the lighting effects...Really, what's not to like about this? Just fave this beauty now & enjoy the romantic feeling you get from it...



...Well, this was eventual. With the Pixel ID trend inspiring everyone to try their hand at making some funky pixel characters, some amazing stuff had to come out of it...& ID-Pixelolz by =SynDuo clearly stood out for me. It's not just an amazing, wild, & fun piece of work, but it also perfectly showcases Syn's style & the funky, colorful, cartoon feel that he pours into all of his work. Overall, it just kicks ass. What else do you need to know?



MonsterHunter by ~monez04...Oooh, what to say about this little number. Well, it has some fun character designs, it's a cute & a little funny, it has a nice style, it perfectly feels a little dark yet colorful at the same time, it's full of detail, & it's just plain fun & well done overall...Huh, that actually sums it up nicely. This is just one sweet piece of work, so what are you waiting for? Fave it now!



Well, I do love a great piece of surreal artwork, & The Hollow by *Jeff1966 certainly doesn't disappoint there! Superbly stylish to the point where you may not even believe that it's a traditional painting & not something digital, this baby just hooks you in with some wicked colors, a trippy feeling, & a great amount of detail...& once you're in, you won't want out.



Phantomic Kitchen. by ~VERSCH01...Nothing like a good, chaotic, trippy piece of work to wrap it all up! Loaded with an intense amount of detail, jam-packed with a wild amount of color, full of several funky little designs, infused with a nice & cool hand-drawn feel to all, & topped off with a sweet psychedelic feeling, this is one wicked Deviation that gives you a natural high just looking at it...In fact, I think I may have the munchies now...
