It's been a while since Toronto has been able to host its own devMEET. In the past couple of years, we've had Hamilton, Grimsby & Niagara Falls devMEETs, but no one has had the time to host a Toronto devMEET it seems. [Minus a mini-meet *arthaus hosted at the Eaton Centre before Christmas 2006]

That's where I came in; with me moving to Toronto, I wanted to try to bring back the deviantART spirit to Toronto deviants by finally hosting another devMEET in this great city.. Which we all know is the centre of the universe!

This will be the first of a couple devMEETs that I will try to host before summer ends. I want to try to get another one closer to the end of August, and I of course will keep you updated. If that isn't possible, we'll have one in the beginning of September, fingers crossed!

The devMEET will be hosted at beautiful High Park. Meeting time will be 12pm at High Park subway station, and we will then proceed to the park. We'll be at the station for a half hour up to an hour, to wait for those of you who may be late. If you know you will be later than 12.30 or 1pm arriving to High Park subway station, please let us know in advance and we will swap telephone numbers so you can find us within the park.

We will be doing a picnic-styled meet, as well as just general hanging about and having fun. It is asked that everyone please bring food and drinks. Bring enough for you and enough that can be shared with 10-15 people. There will be a lot of different foods we hope, but we ask that people label the ingredients on a cue card to be placed in front of the dish, as many people have allergies to certain foods & are either vegan or vegetarian. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST. We want enough food to feed everyone attending. It'd be best to bring enough food that you'll end up having left-overs with, just in case!

There will be games to play, we can go swimming, we can even play in the giant playhouse that is at High Park. Things to do are endless, and you'll never be bored! There will also be some great surprises.

This will also be a great opportunity for photographers & other artists to take in the scenery.
