The inaugural Caloundra Music Festival in on 19-21 October at Kings Beach on Queensland wonderful Sunshine Coast.

With artists performing including:

- Jimmy Barnes;
- Mark Seymour (Hunters and Collectors);
- Tripod;
- Dallas Frasco;
- Mental as Anything;
- Ash Grunwald;
- The McClymonts;
- Asa Broomhall; and
- Many more

This is a unique opportunity for all gig photographers, experienced or aspiring, to get amongst the thick of it and work your magic and help record the event for prosperity.

Only a select few photographers will be granted passes, and as such applications close 5:00 PM (AEST) on 17 August.

You must submit an application form as well as a limited (10 shot max) portfolio to show the Festival Committee, why you deserve a pass.

Some added bonuses of shooting this event:

1. There is no three (3) song minimum like most gigs;
2. The sheer diversity of acts will give you near unlimited opportunities;
3. You will be working as part of a team, with skilled photographers where you can share ideas, collaborate on upcoming projects and just make new friends;
4. Yes you have to give your images to the council, but they have to credit you each time the image is used in a limited capacity (Only able to be used by festival/council for marketing and promotional purposes)
More importantly the festival/council can not resell your images, but you are free to "conduct business as usual", and with several prominent businesses actively involved you can network to your hearts content; and
5. You will be one of a select few actively involved in what hopefully will become a big part of live music culture not only in South East Queensland, but Australia.
