Celebrating deviantART’s 7th birthday, the Artist Relations team brings you the 7 Deadly Sins and Heavenly Virtues contests being held all over dA!.

The Wallpaper Gallery will be representing the sin of GREED and the virtue of TEMPERANCE. And for those of you who signed your souls away to ^FallenRox a few weeks ago, be sure to read on..... _{what do you mean you didn't realise you had sold your souls...}

GREED- A. An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth. B. Reprehensible acquisitiveness; insatiable desire for wealth

TEMPERENCE- A. Moderation and self-restraint, as in behaviour or expression B. Habitual moderation in the indulgence of a natural appetite or passion, esp. in the use of alcoholic liquors.

End Date: September, 11th, 2007
approx. one week for judging and announcing the winners.

THE RULES

Your submission must to adhere to the gallery description of the wallpaper gallery. For complete details see Wallpaper Galllery Guide and FAQs. If you have other questions, be sure to ask either ^zilla774 or ^FallenRox.

Your entry must focus on one or both of the wallpaper themes of greed or temperance.

All appropriate wallpaper dimensions are acceptable to enter with, however, the multi-monitor format will certainly earn brownie points and has it’s own first place category For acceptable dimensions, please see FAQ #813: What screen resolutions are accepted in the Wallpaper gallery?

THE PRIZES

1st place: Multi-monitor category- 1 year sub + 1 year print account
1st place: General wallpaper- 1 year subscription
1st place: Special Entry* (see details below)
2nd place: Either category- 6 month sub
3rd place: Either category- 3 months sub

* A first place Special Entry will also receive a 3 month sub. The list of those brave souls that signed up blindly for this birthday celebration contest as listed in ^FallenRox's journal qualify for the "Special Entry."
