Volume 4: Minimalism

Welcome to Skinzine, the deviantART Skins & Themes Weekly Magazine.
Thanks a lot to *Enkera-2005 for helping me on the selection/review of these themes.

This time I'm gonna feature some great minimalist themes/skins for your PC. I'm sorry again to dont cover up the Macintosh scene yet, but the gallery revamp I'm planing to start will take place on the next days hopefully, and then all the mac users will be happy as ever trust me.

Let's start with a basic definition of what the minimalism is.

Why minimalism?

The minimalism describes movements in various forms of art and design, especially visual art and music, where the work is stripped down to its most fundamental features.

The term minimalism is also used to describe a trend in design and architecture where in the subject is reduced to its necessary elements. Minimalist design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture. In addition, the work De Stijl artists is a big source of reference this kind of work. De Stijl expanded the ideas that could be expressed by using basic elements such as lines and planes organized in very particular manners.
