Personally, I'm a big fan of what I like to think of as (for want of a better word) "mood editing" in photos, I like to see romanticised versions of life, that's what photographs are. Every photo has it's own meaning due to angle, framing, focus and so forth, and I think taking this further into editing colours and tones is what digital photography is all about. To me, avoiding imaginative post-processing is a waste of the capabilities of going digital.
with this in mind, I've spent some time collecting a small variety of what I consider to be well taken and beautifully edited photographs:

Alexandra86 As for this one, whether intentional or not, I felt that the look of it being taken with an inexpensive camera and simple black and white make it appear a lot more real, and help it out considerably.

Thanks for taking a look, this is my first article and I know the selection is only small, but I have tried to vary the popularity of my choices, I'm not trying to promote as much as simply give people an insight and some inspiration for the next time they take their photos into post-processing. =]
