Director of Artist Relations
Hello!
The purpose of Artist Relations is to strengthen the community spirit as well as network with fellow artists so that we may bring outside opportunities to you, and help you to hone your skills. The Gallery Directors are the first people you should go to regarding your galleries. They are the people you need to make gallery suggestions to, and ask questions about your specific genre, or seek knowledge from. They also act as your lifeline to the administration. They are here to support and listen, and I can tell you we've got incredibly talented, devoted and passionate people on this team, so get to know them!
New Features

In your browse menus you can now move forward and backward through the deviations in the gallery.

deviations now have new URL's, this is to enable better search ranking.

You now have two view options in your deviation message center. You can "switch to artist view" which will sort the deviations by artist who submitted, or you can "switch to newest" which will display them from newest submitted.
News

I have found
most of the issues with the new submission process. There is still one I'm working on with animals but otherwise I think most of it has been reasonably dealt with. If you still have issues with your deviations going to a category you didn't choose, send me a note and I'll try and see what's going on.

I moved some things around the community was asking for and you can read about it

Our birthday was a massive success and we had a blast partying with you all

There are still contests going on in AR that you can see
here . Thank you for making it a fabulous birthday celebration, we are nothing without our community, thank you for a wonderful 7 years, here's to 70 more

I have to admit that I'm getting frustrated with having Help desk cases sent to me that are about issues already addressed in this newsletter. If you don't want to read the news, fine, but understand what a giant waste of time it is for us to repeat things over and over again when we've made the information widely available. Please try to keep yourself informed. Read this newsletter, read the
status forum and know what's going on in your community. It helps us to spend our time in better ways, creating new and exciting things and fixing errors that exist rather then continuing to repond to issues we've already addressed.

I would like to thank `
yathosho for his contributions and dedication to the Visualizations gallery over the years. Make sure to extend your thanks as well

I wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Have you read
Project Daylight? If you did then you should be as excited as I am. Speed, film, excitement ! I can hardly contain myself. There's even some g33k sp34k in there for those that get off on that

We introduced the
The Bolt Award on our birthday and awarded it to it's namesake $
chris If you love him as much as we do and want to show it, check out the
contest here!

Once again I have to make a comment about issues with Daily Deviations. You do us no favors by talking behind our backs or complaining in the forums. If you have an issue with the quality, the type, think somethings a rip etc..
obviously you don't post this on the deviation itself or to the artist but you
should be contacting the person that posted the daily deviation. Send them a note and explain the issue. In some cases you're right and by telling us you give us an opportunity to correct a possible mistake. If you don't do this and we hear about it months down the road, it makes it a lot harder to make that correction. Work with us, not against us.

I have noticed and increase in people sending notes to myself or my gallery directors to report policy and copyright violations. Please file
help desk tickets for this. My team does not deal directly with violations and it's absolutely necessary to keep running records of instances that occur, so we will direct you back to the help desk to ensure proper protocol. Thank you.

Please note that "bad" stock (blurry, small, junky, etc) be reported as 'misplacement' and not as 'other violation', this is true for any miscategorized deviation. This helps the report get to the people that handle it instead of flooding the CEA desk. - Thank you
