Artist Spotlight: Rochester's hidden talents
(July 1, 2007) Sarah Kaester
Personal: 22, of Henrietta.
Media: Oil paints and airbrush always, glitters and other crafting materials.
Style: My style of art is a kind of abstract portrait always a girl's face, and then added onto it with various things you'd find in craft stores.
Evolution as an artist: I got where I am by listening to teachers in learning techniques early on, and then by creating what I thought was even better by not "staying within the guidelines of great art."
Inspiration: I find my inspiration from pictures, music, words and books. I can find inspiration almost anywhere if I am paying close enough attention.
Favorite artist: Charles Dwyer.
Featured work: Lady, a peaceful woman enveloped in nature, with flowers surrounding her shoulders and in her hair.
