Awaken those pupils!
Many people here on DA have a fascination with checkers or checkered floors.
There has already been an acknowledgement that there is just something about black and white patterns that intices people.
Is it the illusion of the black and white pattern, or mabey the intricate and precise detail that is alluring?
Many people tell an abstract monochrome artist that their art would look good if it were colored in, however that color, depending on the detail, can really take away from the splender of illusion, by causing one to focus more on the color than the detail and linework.
There is such a challenge to have a blank page in front of you with a black pen in hand, not knowing where to start or what to draw...then all of a sudden, the mind takes over and guides the hand to pour out a hidden psyche on paper that has been undiscovered until that moment.
From there on, you discover to find that you had something that needed to be drawn out of the imagination, and then to see the finished results that only a space of paper can allow you to express.
What makes the mind bring out this hidden detail that has been stored away, only for you to discover? Was it ever really stored away or is it the bottled up feelings the inticed that moment of discovery of your potential?
Its a mystery to the artist of detail where in the mind this style of art comes from when it was never replacated or planned.
Having said all that, take a look at some amazing abstract artists while blowing your mind away!
