In the world of 3D stocks [ most of it unknown to the photomanipulators ] you can find truly inspiring fantasy and surreal elements that could never be captured by a regular camera. And the best part is that most of them come in a transparent background, so we can simply click and drag onto our work. How fun, fast and easy is that?

T O P I C :: any of the chapters and characters of APOLOGUE. you may choose from Sleepsong (Dinah and Shem), An Empty Station (Noah, K, Morgan, and Xiao), Purewater (Starke and Sylph), Lotus (Vice, Versa, the creatures), or Pathos (Bibi). Crossovers are allowable.
DUE DATE :: October 1, 2007.
R U L E S
1. You may use any media at your disposal. Your entry is not limited to hand drawn means-- we will be accepting photography, BJD related entries, and sculpture. In addition to that, if you want to do a comic, have at it. As long as your entry reflects an APOLOGUE influence, or we can see how APOLOGUE has affected you, all bets are off. So be creative.
2. Limit on entries is 5-- that makes it so that if someone wants to do art for every chapter, they can do so and still have it showcased in the contest.
3. DO NOT find other people's work and claim it as your own. If this somehow happens and we catch you, you'll be banned from the contest.
4. All subject matter is FINE. Nudity, violence, and sex are all present in APOLOGUE itself, so it doesn't seem right to limit the content in the contest. Guro is more than acceptable.
5. REMEMBER that APOLOGUE has intent behind everything-- the best entries will keep that present in theirs. Parody and comic entries will also be enjoyed immensely. :3
6. HAVE FUN and let the games begin. :3

Winners will be determined by a majority rules voting table. If there's too many entries, we'll do a couple rounds. It'll be fun. 8D

J U D G E ' S . A W A R D S
The judges, ~gloombox and myself, being the creators, will judge this portion of the contest. Our favourites will be asked if they would like to be published in the APOLOGUE concept book, for distribution and promotion to my fanbase and those who love APOLOGUE. Publication will require between 2 and 5 images, and the book will be in full colour. So if you think you have what it takes to get in our favour and hit the press, keep that in mind! Publication will not be compensated, as the concept book is a smaller project, but if we can afford it (which we might not at that point, since we'll be laying out 18K for Apologue proper) we will try to get you a copy of the concept book. Judge's awards will not wait till the contest end. If we are awarding you this, we'll let you know ASAP so you can make your decision.

Story ::
Synopsis :: A man loves his wife so much that when she dies, he deems her asleep and sets about trying to fix her by replacing all of her parts with household found objects.

Characters :: Noah (little red), K (the hunter), Morgan and Xiao (the wolves)
Story :: N/A
Synopsis :: A girl strays from her path and encounters wolves.

Synopsis :: A man's sister is deathly ill and he convinces himself that he can wash away the disease with bleach-- so day in, day out, he bathes her in bleach for hours on end until she starts to dissolve away slowly. The sister loves her brother so much that she can't stand to tell him he's making her worse, so she tells him she's getting better even though she's dying.
