Hope and Happiness: Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit.

Today I am bringing you one of the artists who I most admire and love. I've known her for many years now, even though in the first times she had no idea I even existed, and she has helped me find my way in art and is a constant source of inspiration, kindness and intelligence. Her main goal is to combine two things that most people believe are impossible to fuse: beauty and concept. And this makes me all the more interested in her ideas.

I'm interested in selling my photos outside of DA.
Does anybody have suggestions. I would prefer something with a free trial or free membership. I was thinking about Microstock, but for some reason I don't like it. I mean I would be getting $0.26 for each download? Royalties free? The buyer/downloader will be making several hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on the add he uses my image in. That my friends is BS.
Photo Storefront...That seems like my best choice for now, but the one website I liked the most charges $260 a year or $30 a month. Again CASH MONEY DOUGH DOLLAR BILLS THE GREEN STUFF MOOLA!!!...I don't have that kind of money lying around just waiting to be spent!!
Of course there's DA, but I would need to get advertised. Notice popular people make a ton of money because, their, well popular! So many talented people and artforms (e.g. fractal art) are underappreciated just because they aren't well known to the public. And again, that's BS.
I could open my own website, but that takes time, knowledge, money, and of course, I'm not quite talented enough to even consider opening my own website. It would be pointless and a waste of time...at least for now.
PLEASE GIVE LINKS, ETC.

Oh and don't bother checking my gallery for pictuers. I, for some reason, didn't submit anything decent to my gallery.
If you're not willing to invest money you won't make money. You need a professional looking website for a start. And also you need to put good pictures on there. This includes dA. You can't expect to make money when you openly admit that the only images of yours on the internet are poor.
Royalty free isn't as bad as people make out. It can be a very easy way to make $50 or so a month. Just choose what you upload carefully and you'll never end up selling an image you love for pennies. It's also worth remembering that you'll see a much better return on a library of 2000 images than 50.
But if you want to make money you need to be professional. This means professional equipment, a good website, marketing, accounting, choosing how to sell your work... The list goes on.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
