PART 2 FAIRY
A fairy is metaphysical spirit or supernatural being. They are associated with wide range of different magical creatures, trough different mythologies or folklore beliefs. In modern time they are described as humans in appearance with magical powers. Tails with fairies are known from medieval tales, trough Victorian period to modern days.
They symbolic meaning differs from various cultures. As one of beliefs revolves on protection from fairies, in preventing them from stealing babies and older people on other hand we have whimsical fairies, portrayed as childish and genderless characters of innocence and joy.
Among the most common beliefs is that they are dead or some subclass of the dead. One tale is talking about the man caught by fairies who saw that one of them is his dead neighbor. This belief is reflected with Gaelic name banshee that means fairy woman.
In alchemy they were regarded as elementals, and this reflects on common belief that they are creatures of air.
One of the less common beliefs was that they were actually humans, hidden from the rest of the world, and developed magical powers.
Contrary to common belief that they are angelic nature creatures fairies portrayed as demonic or malicious creatures is more often in folktales. In that context they are portrayed as demoted angels even devils entirely. One popular story held that when the angels revolted, God ordered the gates shut. Those still in heaven remained angels, those in hell became devils, and those caught in between became fairies. Others held that they had been thrown out of heaven, not being good enough, but were not evil enough for hell. This may explain the tradition that they had to pay a "tend" or tithe to Hell; as fallen angels, though not quite devils, they are subject to the Devil.
Dealing with fairies was in some cases considered a form of witchcraft and punished as such in this era.
One of the nicest things about fairy tattoos is that they are only limited by your imagination. The color assortment, styles, and tones of the fairy tattoos are making them becoming more popular, especially for women. Either you want tribal, seductive, whimsical or mischievous tattoo they will represent only what you want them to be, and there is no limit in human imagination.

I've been told wikipedia is not a very reliable source for research. We aren't allowed to use it for school projects.
