Friends of the machinima community, it is a black day for all of us.

Microsoft has just released some new rules about how people are allowed to use halo in order to make their machinima pieces. Basically they have a list of simple rules that restrict how you use halo:

Your not allowed to use the halo story in your work in creating Shadow Chapters or lost chapters.

Your not allowed to use any of the halo sound track, including weapons, vechiles or music

No porn

And no money making.

I'm sure everyone will love all the silent one off shit machinima movies that are to come from this.
These new Microsoft rules have already claimed one victim, edgeworks was scheduled to release the trailer for The Reclaimer- the third and final chapter in the codex series. But due to these new rules that is no longer possible unless Microsoft removes/changes the rules.
