Hello, Thanks for reading and ing Issue 5 of the comics mini Newsletter.
Fairly short as nothing I'm working on is far enough to mention yet but I have a few important notes and some brilliant features for you guys.
Please if you have any favorite artists or friends you think deserve a feature send me a note with some links (If you use thumbs only 5 thumbs please, thats the limit in notes) and I'll feature the ones I like with your name.

FAQ #634: Why was my deviation relocated or moved?
If you are wondering why your image was moved to scraps it was probably for one of the following reasons:

a. Your deviation was on lined paper and/or had too many scanner shadows. Please make an effort to make your deviations presentable. There are plenty of resources on DA to fix these things and make them presentable. This is not myspace, this is an art site. I expect people to respect that.

b. It was mass moved with a pile of other miscats and you are now expected to move it to the correct gallery. Sometimes when browsing I'll gather a whole whack of obvious miscats that belong in a wide number of other galleries and I'll just send them to Scraps. When this happens and you are unsure of where your deviation should go please file a Help Desk ticket linking the image and ask where it would belong. Don't just move it to another incorrect category next to the one it was removed from.

This information is avaliable in the FAQ, if you ever have a question you should always check the FAQ before getting angry.

If you guys are ever confused about something in the comics gallery, wonder if your stuff belongs in comics, have questions about the gallery setup, have any suggestions for the gallery or just needs some help with something, feel free to note me with your questions. I'll do my best to answer them and If I cannot I will be able to point you in the rigth direction or get you in contact with the right people to help you.
Please make sure your note has a clear subject and not just "hi" so I can get to it first.

There are a few projects and things going on behind the scenes here that will reveal themselves in due course.
We'll see. I'll do my best to try and make sure you guys get the best possible for the comics gallery.
If you have any suggestions for the gallery please let me know! Nothing more satisfying than seeing DA implement your suggestions

The Comic Inking Contest deadline is September 17th
If you want to have a look at the Inking Contest Entries you need only browse DA and visit this gallery: Community Projects> Contests> 2007 > comic inking contest
All entries are gathered there. There is no need to send me entries via note, in fact, please dont.
If you are browsing and happen to see a deviation in there that doesnt belong please report it using the report policy violation link and we will get it out of there.

Other than that I've been spending my time sitting in #CandC and #AR waiting for travellers while I move miscats and go through my DD notes.
On the subject of DD's please stop sending me fanart DD suggestions, they go to ^animator. Thanks oodles!

Opportunity to be seen

I wanted to take a second to plug an opportunity to get your work printed in a promotional book. *iggygirl has been doing some work to help artists get their work sold and earn some commissions and freelance work. I'll be in book and and hopefully two. If you are interested in getting some publicity for your comic work she is looking for some Comic/Sequential work for it as well as other types. Please have a look at this forum thread and leave your thumbs there for approval.
