How to be a Subtle Rebel

*Simanion:iconSimanion: reports, 2d 2h ago
Through Science, it has recently been discovered that not all rebels have to be militant radicals, hell-bent on revolutionary war. It is now possible to live your life as a “Subtle Rebel”, going against the grain and being badass in your own unique and special way, very slowly (but undeniably) and single-handedly changing society forever. Here are some of at least two more ways in which you can say a big “go away please” to social convention and change the world...

Did you get your shots of the August 28th Eclipse?

=PyroPaul:iconPyroPaul: reports, August 28, 2007
Did you get your shots of last nights lunar eclipse?
Well, if not, heres a grand list of people who did!
Before we get to the Thumbs, lets go over what exactly an eclipse is.

A Lunar eclipse is a very magical time because for the time frame of a little over an hour, The earth is perfectly aligned in between the Moon and the sun. This particular phenomena only happens approximatly two times a year, and is veiwable better from different places on earth each time.
The moon will always be full during a full moon, because it is when it falls directly behind earth so to speak. If you were wondering why exactly the moon changes its color during a Lunar eclipse, its because when the moon falls directly behind earth, the sun shines through the earths atmosphere and casts earths shadow upon the moon... if the Earth had no atmosphere, the Moon would be completely dark during an eclipse. The red or orange color comes from sunlight passing through a long and dense layer of the Earth's atmosphere, where it is scattered
It uses basically the same concept as a sunset, and how the sky is cast different shades of red.

ZOMG PAUL, YOU CAN RIGHT THESE THINGS!? =OOOOOOOO

And Yes, I did. But My camera is pretty bad and I didn't get great shots sadly, it wouldn't zoom enough and clouds kept getting in the way. And where I was the moon didn't even go red, or even orange. It pretty much just slowly went black... =(
